Happy new year 2013!
Well is just matter of hours until this year ends
Here is a little gift for you and I hope for you the best and keep on!
I wish you a year full of good things and progress, the sun will rise up high in the sky all days no matter what, lets follow its example, we fall , we are below the ground but every new day is a new chance to grow up and the space is the limit.
Keep the hard work my friends and lets master the patience!
So the way of the self taught project to become a disciplined painter and concept designer, shines at its brightest and just time will dictate, for me, remember, all knowledge I share in my blog are not tutorials, you can pick useful stuff from my progress but avoid step on my rocks, avoid making the same mistakes I did and look for more!, I have no teacher or a partner who share this desire, so is just this personal goal Ill make it real trough hard work.
Next dictates will become more serious and I hope (I really hope, really really really hope ...) make it happens.
Keep on drawing and painting!!!!!!
GoodendGraphics
Best regards.

Marvels Ant Man!
Marvel Comics Ant-Man (Hank Pym)
Something tells me he wont be wearing his classic comic costume though :)
Check out this other stuff that was sent in recently....
These great Doctor Who Punx decorations were made by Kevin for the birthday party of his 9 year old daughter who really wanted a DW themed celebration. He couldnt find any DW party supplies to buy so he made these! How cool is that? Click images to enlarge!
Ben sent in photos of this awesome piece he put together, wow! His description;
"I was inspired by Eric Scarecrows Soopa Coin Up Bros. vinyl to create my first custom vinyl creation. I added the light at the top and attached an EL Wire unit to the back to light the top and the screen. I created the screen art by combining Doctor Who perler bead art and the X-Men arcade game. The sides and back art are versions of the art I created before by photoshopping your Doctor Who art."
Álvaro (from Spain and is 14 years old!) sent in this great Daniel Craig James Bond!
Cliff is back with 7th Doctors companions, Mel and Ace. Thanks Cliff!
Last but not least, Veysel has been working hard on his Simpsons drawings, and has tried some stuff I featured in my tutorials (links on the side of the blog) with great results! Heres Veysels drawings:

Madrid travel journal pages
Life is sweet. Yesterday, I got back from a wonderful city trip to Madrid, Spain.
Im a lucky girl. My husband had to travel there for his work and we decided I could travel with him and to add the weekend.
So on Thursday morning, we arrived at Barajas, the airport. My husband took a cab to the office, and my little adventure started right there. I love travelling, and when youre on your own, the experience somehow is even deeper. Taking the subway into town was an adventure and my senses opened up completely. It felt like I saw, heard and smelt things sharply, and even the warm air from the subway tunnels felt like it touched the hairs on my arms in a very special way.
I saw well short dressed and high heeled women, smelled freshly fried churros, noticed elderly men wearing pastel colours, their checkered shirts matching the colour of their pink, baby blue or lime green pants. I was still underground and could already see: I am in the south of Europe!
The first thing I did when I arrived in the city and ascended from the subway into the sunny streets of Madrid, was find myself a Cafeteria to drink my very first, very spanish cortado: a single espresso with a little bit of milk.
Then I checked into our wonderful apartment we found through www.airbnb.com, I worked for a few hours (the entrepreneur life does go on, you know, also when youre travelling!) and then headed outside into the sunny city life. Had tapas for lunch and drew my view from the cervezeria.
Next day I visited the museum Reina Sofia and I was also told to go see the Atocha train station which is on the other side of the roundabout there. So I did and also drew it.
Early in the evening, I made this drawing while having tapas with my husband. Including greasy tapas stains:
And we visited the wonderful mercado de San Miguel at night, for a glass of Verdejo and... yup, more tapas!
I am still doing my daily self portraits, as you can see. Theres just a few pages to go in my current sketchbook, and I will sure keep the habit of doing self portraits, but Ill be glad to not be committed to do one each day anymore when I start a new sketchbook.
On the 14th, we woke up to another gorgeous day and before heading out, I drew the view from our window.
Next day, just before leaving home, we visited El Rastro, the largest flea market in the world, held every week. Super festive. We walked and walked and walked, so I didnt sketch any of it. The only drawing I made was the one in the right corner, during lunch.

The Avengers Movie Black Widow
Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson Avengers Movie Version)
This Avengers movie is really ramping up, and even though Ive not seen it yet, I hear really good things about it. At any rate, heres an Avengers movie Black Widow to add to the collection!
Also today is some great Punx-style Mass Effect/Shepard fan art by Mitch. Nice!
I also wanted to give a couple of deserving shout-outs today, one for a teacher named Anthony - antsict.wordpress.com - who let me know about his great idea of using Doctor Who characters from Springfield Punx to illustrate points in his teaching for the kids and as labels around the classroom! Cool, right?
The second shout-out is to Connor from http://connorstbbtblog.blogspot.com/ who passed along some great ideas as far as characters for Springfield Punx that Id like to get to at some point. Thanks Connor!
Anyway, thats it, thanks for reading this post for today, now go outside!

Light Part 3 The approach
Some friends have asked me to see some process while painting, well here I show you my approach for it, it doesnt mean I do every paint with this way, I try to variate to find more possible solutions, but anyway, here the painting was taken from a photo again but I took more time with this one (6 hours)
Just 1 Layer (There is no neccesity of use more really)
You can see the different result and is natural, because the more time you apply in something the better it will get, no tracing were done and even sampling in the photo, at the end I color corrected the tones to match the image but thats it. Hope it clarify some questions!
Girl Painting.
Painting has been completed.
Keep on!
