Basic Draw

 

Today Im displaying some of the beautiful Jennifer makes and displays under the name August Wren. I absolutely love her paintings, and its a treat to visit her blog - its so fresh and joyful. She recently submitted a very yummy illustrated recipe to TheyDrawAndCook, where we are fellow artists now, and I am very proud to say that I was her teacher in JustDrawIt!, which she joined to add some extra drawing skills to her very advanced painting techniques. It was great to see her results in class, as her eye for shapes, shades and spaces resonates in the drawings.

Today in my Inspiration Station, Id like to show you some awesome paintings! Jodi Wiley has become an online friend of mine in the past few years. She was one of the first people I started following, and who followed me. Even though on the other side of the world, we closely follow each others development, growth and creative outbursts. Jodi has recently been asked for several exhibitions, and hopefully there will be many more to come. She is intrigued by trees and so she paints them. I am always excited to see a photo of earth coloured dots of paint on her instagram feed - the beginning of a new tree painting!

Recently I discovered Belén Morenos blog. She makes awesome art! I immediately fell for her Metamorphosis drawings, which she does in graphite. When she adds colours, she does this digitally. I love her style and I have to say: here and there its a bit disturbing too... the Black Swan feeling? Something like that. I like it when it gets a bit edgy! She does a lot more apart from these graphite drawings, but these I really had to share. I hope youll enjoy!
